Lakes Lights: Gardens of the Galaxy
Step into an illuminated wonderland on the shores of Lakes Entrance as Lakes Lights returns for one spectacular night only.
This year’s theme, Gardens of the Galaxy, will transform the foreshore into a magical world of giant lantern sculptures, projection art, immersive soundscapes, glowing installations, and roving performers — including the famous Lakes Entrance Sea Hags.

Join the Lantern Parade
Attend one of the lantern-making workshops in the lead-up and bring your creation along to the much-loved community lantern parade. Starting at the historic Slipway Sheds, the glowing procession will travel along the foreshore and across the iconic Lakes Entrance Footbridge.
Explore the Installations
Cross into another world where the narrow stretch of land between the Gippsland Lakes and Ninety Mile Beach comes alive with light, sound, storytelling, and imagination.
Support Local Traders
Local restaurants, cafés, and bars along the Esplanade and Myer Street will stay open late with winter warming specials and festive displays. Food stalls, live music, and fire pits along the foreshore will add to the magical atmosphere.
