A special highlight for the kids will be a visit from Bluey, who will be making four appearances throughout the afternoon at 4:00 pm, 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm, with each session lasting approximately 15 minutes.

Held annually to raise funds for Metung Primary School, this popular event is supported by the Metung Lions Club and offers something for all ages and fitness levels. Get into the Christmas spirit and support a wonderful cause as the 20th Annual Bairnsdale Toy Run brings a spectacular procession of motorcycles through East Gippsland, raising donations for The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
This much-loved community event sees motorcyclists come together for a police-escorted ride through Bairnsdale, Bruthen, Nowa Nowa and Lakes Entrance, spreading Christmas cheer while helping families in need.
One of the highlights for visitors to Lakes Entrance is watching the impressive convoy of motorcycles make its way along the Esplanade. With riders passing directly by Beachcomber Holiday Units, our guests have a fantastic opportunity to step outside and enjoy this heartwarming Christmas tradition.
Lakes Entrance stop: The riders are scheduled to stop at Apex Park between 12:45 pm and 1:00 pm before continuing towards Bairnsdale.

Need a reset this winter? Join the Gippsland Jersey Winter Dip and take the plunge into the Gippsland Lakes as the sun rises over Lakes Entrance.
Bring your friends and family, rug up, and get ready for an invigorating morning that is all about community, wellbeing, and stepping outside your comfort zone. While the water may be icy cold, participants leave feeling energised, refreshed, and connected.
What began as a simple mental health initiative for the Gippsland Jersey team has grown into one of the region’s most uplifting winter traditions, with more than 200 people taking part in 2025.
Cold water immersion is known to help improve mood, energy, resilience, and overall wellbeing, but it’s the shared experience, laughter, and encouragement from the crowd that makes this event so memorable.
All registered dippers will receive a free Gippsland Jersey hot drink after the swim to warm up and celebrate.

Experience the thrill of paddling on the open waters of the Gippsland Lakes, Australia's largest inland waterway. Take in the stunning views of the man-made entrance on the 90 Mile Beach, where the lakes meet Bass Strait. The challenge begins at Paynesville for elite paddlers or Metung for recreational paddlers, with both courses ending at the iconic Lakes Entrance Footbridge located just across the road from Beachcomber Holiday Units.
