If you’re standing beside the Beachcomber Holiday Units Interactive Wall right now, you’ve come to the right place!
Our 26-metre mural celebrates Lakes Entrance, the Gippsland Lakes and many of the local places, businesses and experiences that make our town special. Look closely and you’ll find familiar landmarks, wildlife, local businesses and plenty of little surprises hidden throughout the artwork.
The wall was designed to be more than something to simply walk past — it’s an interactive challenge. Take your time, see how many answers you can find, and then scroll down to check how you went.

About the mural
The Lakes Entrance Interactive Wall was created by local artists Natalia Kamenskaia, Veronica Young and Dian Clarke, each bringing their own artistic style and experience to the project. The mural was painted over several months, mostly on weekends and around the weather.
The artwork celebrates our local area, from the Gippsland Lakes and Ninety Mile Beach to the Entrance, Cunninghame Arm Footbridge, local wildlife, businesses and familiar Lakes Entrance characters.
Matilda also had the chance to help the artists paint some of the smaller details during the project, making the wall an especially meaningful part of Beachcomber for our family.

Ants are carrying the orange comb.
There are 3 Lakes Entrance landmarks: the Lakes Entrance Surf Life Saving Club, The Entrance and the Cunninghame Arm Footbridge.

The mural represents local fishing, cruise businesses, fish-and-chip shops, mini golf, cafés, doughnuts, Segway tours and the summer carnival.
The kite is green, red, yellow and orange.
A praying mantis is stand-up paddleboarding.
One fish has been caught.
The local musician is Mike Elrington.
The fishing boat is named Beachcomber.
The mural is 26 metres long.
It took around 4 months to paint, as work was completed on weekends and depended on the weather.
The sign shows 321 km to Melbourne.
The artists signed the mural with their handprints in the rocks.
The rainbow lorikeets are eating watermelon, orange and apple.
Seagulls are stealing the hot chips.
The frog is holding a brown comb.
It’s a Homer Simpson-style doughnut.
